With so many great casinos available to players from Wyoming, it can be tricky to choose between them. When we rank casino sites, we evaluate each site based on the following criteria.
Title 6 of the Wyoming state statutes prohibits gambling. The law does not specifically mention online gambling, which is why certain internet casinos are available to players from Wyoming.
None of them are located and licensed within the state. Instead, these casinos are regulated by international gaming commissions (such as the Malta Gambling Authority) which makes them safe and secure for American players. You will not be prosecuted for playing at offshore casino sites like the ones featured on this page.
As well as online casinos, there are other forms of gambling which are available to residents of Wyoming. Here is a quick rundown:

The four brick-and-mortar casinos in Wyoming are all based in Fremont County. The Northern Arapaho Tribe operates three of them, while one is owned by the Eastern Shoshone Tribe. Here is where you’ll find the brick-and-mortar casinos in the state:

---|---|---|---|---|
Wind River Hotel and Casino | 800 | Slots, Poker, Blackjack, Craps, Roulette | 180 Red Wolf Place, Riverton, WY 82501 | https://www.windriverhotelcasino.com/ |
789 Smoke Shop and Casino | 250 | Slots | 180 Red Wolf Place, Riverton, WY 82501 | http://www.789smokeshopcasino.com/ |
Little Wind Casino | 160 | Slots | 800 Blue Sky Hwy, Ethete, WY 82520, United States | https://www.littlewindcasino.com/ |

Compared to other states, the history of casino gambling in Wyoming is fairly recent. Given that Wyoming is the US’ least populous state, brick-and-mortar casinos were perhaps not a particularly profitable business proposition. Nevertheless, we’ve seen significant moves in the industry during the last 50 years.
As of July 2023, there are no notable bills in progress to further legalize casino gambling in the state. However, the brick-and-mortar tribal casinos do have scope to open further sites. The Northern Arapaho Tribe may operate up to five sites, while the Eastern Shoshone Tribe have the right to operate four.
While online casinos seem to land outside of the current focus of legislators in the state, the recent legalization of sports betting may have laid the groundwork for upcoming casino proposals. As states across the US move to legalize online casinos, it’s realistic to suggest that Wyoming could too.

Residents of the Cowboy State play these three casino games more than any other.
Slots are the most popular casino game worldwide and in Wyoming. The enormous range of designs and themes means that slots have something for everyone. For example, if you’d like to celebrate Wyoming’s rich native American history, you may enjoy online slots like Thunderbird and Rain Dance found at Bovada.
For Wyomingites, blackjack is king of card games. The classic 21 game is easy to learn, but using a sound blackjack strategy can greatly improve your success rate. We recommend playing at a mobile-optimized game, like the Blackjack title at Ignition which has a customizable interface and a house edge of less than 1%.
Though Wyoming is right in the heart of America, it’s the European and French varieties of roulette which command the attention of its residents. The low house edge of these games (2.7% and 1.35% respectively) makes them a better option than American roulette (which has a house edge of 5.2%). We recommend trying out the version of European Roulette at Cafe Casino.
Gambling responsibly and adopting healthy habits is important because problem gambling can have serious financial, social, and health-related consequences.
We recommend setting a strict budget with only money which you can comfortably afford to lose. Avoid playing when under the influence, angry, or upset. Stay calm, learn the odds, and take regular breaks in order to stay in control of your play.
Most importantly, if you are experiencing the early signs of problem gambling, seek help immediately. The following resources are available to Wyoming residents:
